Meet "Dottie," a women's Burgundy Red Straw Summer Hat that is just the ticket for Kentucky Derby, Ladies Tea, Carriage driving or Church. The straw brim is 4 3/8 inches wide in the front and 3 3/8 inches wide in the back. The straw is a lovely fine weave that I recycled from a pristine pre-owned hat and steamed and re-blocked into a modern shape. The feathers are so pretty and are red with black and white dotted feathers throughout. The feathers inspired me to add a dotted fabric for the band and brim edge. Also added a black silk vintage rose. It has a fedora shaped crown (top). An adjustable inner grosgrain ribbon headband helps protect it from becoming soiled. It fits a 20-22 inch head.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HEAD SIZE: Place a flexible tape measure around the widest part of your head above your ears and eyebrows, where the hat will sit. Take this measurement three times to make sure it’s accurate. Generally speaking, a small range is 20-21 inches; medium is 21 ½ to 22 ½ inches and large is 23 to 24 inches.
