What a fun women's summer cap! The shape has a military feel but the vintage lace band and rosettes make it decidedly feminine. The hat is made from a woven nubby ivory fabric that's perfect for summer. It looks like raw silk but feels more like cotton. Fully lined with a lightweight patterned muslin and an inner grosgrain ribbon to help keep it clean. The brim measures 1 1/2 inches at the widest point in the front and the three sectioned side band of the hat is 4 3/4 inches in front.
This hat fits a 20 1 1/2 to 21 1/2 inch head size. (It's on the smaller side.) Handmade and one of a kind.
I have been making hats since 2005. My hats have been showcased in the Kentucky Derby Museum in Louisville, Kentucky since 2010, when I received the Judges Choice Award. I am honored to have had a hat chosen for display at The Great Hat Exhibition in London in March, 2018.
