This one of a kind printed green and black plaid vintage-inspired cloche is made completely by hand and is blocked over a vintage hat block. Her name is Evie, but she reminds me of a hat that Lady Mary would wear! The band is a lovely french ribbon in a green, gray and black brocade pattern.

The hat is topped with an oversize dupioni silk black bow layered with a green hand dyed silk bow and a custom covered button in the same ribbon as the band. When making a hand blocked hat, the steaming and blocking process produces the hat's unique shape, then a wire is sewn into the brim that helps it stay in the desired shape. The asymmetrical brim comes to a soft point on the right side. As with traditional cloche hats, the back of the brim is short and shallow, which prevents the hat from bumping into your coat collar.

An inner grosgrain headband ribbon helps it keep its shape and avoids damage from makeup. Treat yourself to a unique and beautiful piece of wearable art!

FIT AND SIZE:
This pretty hat comfortably fits a 21 1/2 - 23 inch head size.
Brim front: 2 inches; right side 3 inches, back 3/4 inch; left side 1 1/2 inches.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HEAD SIZE:
Place a flexible tape measure around the widest part of your head above your ears and eyebrows, where the hat will sit. Take this measurement three times to make sure it’s accurate. Generally speaking, a small range is 20-21 inches; medium is 21 ½ to 22 ½ inches and large is 23 to 24 inches.
