Return and Refund Policy

I want you to love each and every hat you purchase from What a Great Hat. If for some reason you are not satisfied, please contact me within 48 hours of receiving your item to let me know why. Your undamaged/unworn purchase may be shipped back to me within three days in the original box with a tracking number at your expense for a refund, not including shipping. 

I will process all refunds and returns promptly and will do everything in my power to make things go as smoothly and quickly as possible.

Pieces that are NOT returnable:

  • Custom-made hats and/or fascinators
  • One-size hats/fascinators on headbands or elastic bands
  • Items that have been reduced in price

Refunds (if applicable) 
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email within 48 hours to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. 
If you are approved, your refund will be processed within 48 hours and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

First, contact your credit card company. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. 
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at whatagreathat@gmail.com.

Sale and/or Custom-made Items
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items and custom made items cannot be refunded.

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. 

If you exchange one item for another I will ship the new item within 48 hours, or the same day if possible. The time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you will vary, depending on your location. You will receive tracking information once the shipping label has been completed.
